Choose Junior Laser Tag

The short answer.

There’s something here from School Year 1 upwards. The park goes by school year rather than birthday, so a whole class or party can play together.

Year 1 for Junior Laser Tag, Year 3 for Gelball, Nerf and Archery, Year 5 for Junior Paintball, and Year 7 (age 12) for paintball and most other activities.

A few special events are older: airsoft skirmish days from 14 and Zombie Uprising from 16.

Every activity by minimum age.

Junior laser tag compared with gelball
  • Years 1 and 2 (most are 5 to 7)Junior Laser Tag: nothing is fired, there are unlimited lives, and the hour builds to a gold hunt.
  • Years 3 and 4 (around 7 to 9)Gelball, Nerf or Archery. Gelball uses low-impact gel balls; Nerf is a private outdoor adventure.
  • Years 5 and 6 (around 9 to 11)Junior Paintball, with lower-powered markers and three structured missions.
  • Year 7 and up (12+)The full range: Paintball, Laser Tag, Airsoft, Axe Throwing, Air Rifles, Battlezone and Zombie Apocalypse Training.

Planning for mixed ages.

Families and groups often span several ages. Three ways to make it work:

  • Plan around the youngestPick an activity the youngest can join, so nobody sits out.
  • Let adults join inJunior Paintball and Junior Laser Tag include any adults who join in the group numbers.
  • Pick a calm all-rounderArchery works from Year 3, so parents and children can compete together.

Children’s parties.

Junior paintball what happens on the day

Read the party guides by age, or see children’s birthday parties for packages and booking.

Your questions, answered.

What’s the youngest age for an activity?

School Year 1, for Junior Laser Tag. Most players at that stage are 5 or 6.

Can a 10-year-old play paintball?

Yes, Junior Paintball runs from School Year 5 (around age 9 to 10), with lower-powered markers. Standard paintball starts at Year 7.

Why do you use school years, not ages?

So classmates can play together. A party or school group is usually one school year, even if birthdays differ.

Can adults join a children’s game?

Yes. Junior Paintball and Junior Laser Tag include any adults who join in the group numbers.

What’s the minimum age for axe throwing?

Age 12, School Year 7 and above. Archery suits younger guests from Year 3.

In summary.
