What is airsoft?
A tactical outdoor team game using airsoft guns that fire small plastic BBs. Games are built around objectives: attacking or defending a position, holding ground or reaching a target.
When should we arrive?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time for registration, equipment and the safety briefing.
What should we wear?
Comfortable outdoor clothes, long trousers and trainers or boots with good grip. Layers in the cold, and clothes that can get muddy.
What if it rains?
Airsoft normally continues in rain and cold weather. If high winds, lightning or other conditions make it unsafe and we postpone, you'll be offered another date or booking credit.
Participant Forms
Share the participant form from your booking portal and everyone e-signs it before the day. A parent or guardian signs for under-18s, and a responsible adult must stay with any group including under-18s.
Booking and Payment
Private airsoft must be booked in advance. Online bookings are paid in full; phone bookings can usually be secured with a £100 deposit, with the balance due the week before.
Private session or skirmish day?
Private airsoft is your own 90-minute session with supplied kit. Own-kit players and small groups can join our monthly Proving Grounds skirmish day instead.

I've been paintballing, airsofting (Proving Grounds), and air rifle shooting here. Always a great experience. Food and drinks, some equipment for sale, space to get your gear out even when there's about 300 people turning up! Andy is fab, always chatting and making sure everyone's opinion is heard with respect to the site and facilities.

How much is airsoft near York?
Private airsoft at Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park costs £30 per person for a 90-minute session, including an airsoft gun, safety equipment and 1,000 BBs each.
How old do you have to be for airsoft?
Private airsoft is for age 12 and above. A parent or guardian e-signs the participant form for under-18s.
Is private airsoft really private?
Yes. Your booking is exclusive to your group and is never mixed with another booking.
Do we need our own airsoft guns?
No. Airsoft guns and safety equipment are supplied as part of the £30 package.
How many BBs are included?
Each participant gets 1,000 BBs within the standard £30 price.
Is airsoft suitable for beginners?
Yes. No experience is needed. Everyone gets equipment instruction, a safety briefing and an explanation of every game first.
How many people can play?
Private airsoft is for groups of 10 to 30 players.
Which game zones will we use?
The marshal chooses permanent zones such as the Bunker and the Airfield to suit your group and the conditions. Specific maps can't be guaranteed in advance.
Does airsoft go ahead in the rain?
Yes, it normally continues in rain and cold weather. If we postpone for safety, you'll be offered another date or booking credit.
Is private airsoft the same as a skirmish day?
No. Private airsoft is a dedicated 90-minute session for your group. Skirmish days are larger open events for own-kit players.
